Introducing Driver Reliability Ratings
At Vamo, reliability matters.
We’re introducing a Driver Reliability Rating designed to reward drivers who consistently complete routes professionally, communicate well, and show up reliably.
As part of this update, drivers with stronger reliability may see some route opportunities before other eligible drivers. The best way to maximize your opportunities is to consistently deliver great service.
The good news? The formula is pretty simple.

The Drivers Who Win on Vamo Usually Do These 5 Things

1. Only Accept Routes You Can Actually Complete
Taking a route and finishing it is always better than canceling last minute.

✅ Strong Drivers:
Accept routes they know fit their schedule and complete them successfully.

❌ What hurts your standing:
Accepting routes “just in case” and canceling close to pickup time.
Repeated last-minute cancellations can reduce your access to future route opportunities over time.

2. Be Early to Pickup
A smooth pickup usually leads to a smooth route.
Even being a few minutes early helps keep deliveries on time and prevents downstream delays.

✅ Strong Drivers:
Arrive early, get checked in quickly, and start routes on schedule.

❌ What hurts your standing:
Repeated late arrivals or missed pickup windows.
Consistent lateness can impact your reliability rating and future route priority.

3. Communicate Early — Not Late
Traffic, delays, and unexpected issues happen.
What matters most is communicating before it becomes a bigger problem.

✅ Strong Drivers:
Keep support updated early when something changes.

❌ What hurts your standing:
No communication during delays, issues, or route problems.
Drivers who consistently fail to communicate may receive fewer opportunities over time.

4. Follow Instructions Carefully
Route notes matter.
Dropoff instructions, handling expectations, and delivery details help avoid preventable issues.

✅ Strong Drivers:
Pay attention to details and complete routes professionally.

❌ What hurts your standing:
Avoidable delivery mistakes, repeated issues, or failure to follow instructions.
Repeated route issues can reduce future access to routes.

5. Stay Consistent
Nobody has a perfect day every day.
What matters most is consistency over time:

  • Showing up

  • Completing routes

  • Communicating well

  • Being dependable

That’s what builds strong standing on the platform.
Drivers who consistently perform well will generally receive access to more route opportunities and may see routes earlier than other drivers.

Drivers who repeatedly cancel, miss pickups, create delivery issues, or fail to communicate may gradually receive reduced access to opportunities on the platform.

The App Will Be the Primary Way to Accept Routes
As route distribution becomes more automated, the Vamo app and route notifications will become the primary way drivers receive and accept route opportunities.

Drivers should not rely on receiving a phone call from the Vamo team before a route becomes available.
Instead, eligible drivers will receive opportunities directly through the app based on factors that may include:

  • Driver reliability

  • Market and service-area eligibility

  • Route requirements

  • Vehicle or capacity requirements

  • Location and availability

  • Previous experience with a business or route type

Not every eligible driver will necessarily see every route at the same time. Some opportunities may be offered first to drivers whose reliability, location, experience, or vehicle best match the route.

To maximize your opportunities, keep Vamo notifications enabled and check the app regularly.

Expect Fewer One-Off Route Calls
Drivers can also expect fewer individual phone calls and texts from the Vamo team asking whether they are available for a specific route.

More opportunities will be distributed directly through the app, allowing drivers to review the route details and accept the routes that work for them.

Our team may still call when:

  • An accepted route requires immediate attention

  • An urgent route needs additional coordination

  • A delivery or pickup issue needs to be resolved

  • We are unable to reach you through normal route communication

Important calls related to routes you have already accepted will continue when needed.
Route Notifications

We also want route notifications to be useful without becoming overwhelming.

As part of this update:

  • Route invites will only be sent while routes are available

  • Multiple opportunities may be grouped into one notification

  • Drivers may receive different opportunities based on eligibility and reliability

  • Important updates about accepted routes will still be sent when necessary

What Do I Need to Do?
No immediate action is required.

To maintain strong access to Vamo opportunities:

  • Keep app notifications enabled

  • Use the Vamo app as your primary place to find and accept routes

  • Only accept routes you can complete

  • Avoid last-minute cancellations

  • Arrive at pickup on time

  • Communicate early when issues happen

  • Follow all route and delivery instructions

  • Stay consistent over time

Reliable drivers will continue to receive stronger access to opportunities across the Vamo platform.
