Safety Manual

Safety Manual

Safety is the foundation of trust. Whether you're delivering hot meals, cold perishables, or reusable containers, your professionalism and care ensure that partners rely on Vamo every single day.

This guide provides clear, practical expectations for every driver in our network.

SECTION 1 — BEFORE YOU HIT THE ROAD

1.1 Vehicle Readiness

Your vehicle must be clean, safe, and ready for delivery.

Daily 60-second check:
  • Tires properly inflated

  • Lights functioning (headlights, brake, turn signals)

  • Fuel/battery sufficient for full route

  • Windshield/mirrors clean

  • No dashboard warnings

  • Cargo area clean and debris-free

Weekly check:
  • Tire tread and wear

  • Wiper fluid

  • Oil level

  • Cabin organized, clutter-free

1.2 Temperature Control: Hot Meals + Cold Chain

Vamo drivers deliver both hot and cold items — each with strict standards.

Cold / Perishable Items
  • Store in insulated cold bags only

  • Keep lids zipped and closed

  • Keep away from heat sources (sunlight, hot bags, heaters)

  • Report any warm items

  • Avoid crushing delicate items

Hot Meals

Hot meals must stay 135°F or hotter.

  • Use insulated hot bags only

  • Load hot items last

  • Keep upright and sealed

  • Keep bags closed until delivery

  • Avoid direct contact with cold items

  • Never combine hot and cold items in the same bag or stack them together.

1.3 Personal Readiness
Drivers must arrive prepared:
  • Clean, appropriate clothing (see Section 6.2)

  • Fully charged phone + backup charger

  • Hot and cold bags

  • Water and snacks

  • Comfortable closed-toe shoes

  • Vamo gear (encouraged)

Drivers must be sober, alert, and well-rested.
